Since I was fourteen, I worked in companies of ten people or fewer and realized something pivotal: small business can have a huge impact. From the families it supports to the people it serves, small business has a certain quality of agility, of infinite potential, that I adore. 

So after getting my degree in accounting and working in engineering as a cost specialist, I decided to start a bookkeeping company, to support those creative and gutsy individuals who dare to start something new, to add something meaningful to the world. 

My goal with Own Your Books is simple: to take away the stress of bookkeeping so business owners can take that next step, whether it’s getting a loan, offering a new service, or selling the business.

What inspires me about small business is that it’s ever-changing. It’s all about growth, and trying new things, and facing new challenges (because there will always be that next problem to solve).

My dream is to bring this mindset into my entire life, as I focus on the people who are important to me and find new ways to learn. It’s never too late to start something, or to begin something entirely different. What’s important is discovering that it’s completely up to you!
